Online Membership

It's a time of growth at the Haworth Library. During any transition, a good Friend should be supportive - and that's why the Friends of the Haworth Library intends to live up to its name during this time of expansion and progress. But we need your help and by becoming a member you can do just that.

The Friends of the Haworth Library is a non-profit volunteer organization founded in 1983. Since then, we've become a vital group, supporting the library in every conceivable way, from financing the summer reading program to archiving Haworth's history.

As always, the Friends intends to help the library with a broad range of requests, and this year especially we can really make a difference. The library's operating budget has been tightened, and we will step up to help with the the "extras": adult and children's events, the summer reading program, computers, display shelving, etc. Yes, the library is Haworth's resource for books, dvds, and other media - but, over the years it's become more than that. It's really Haworth's community and cultural center, and we can maintain that role, with your support. We need your membership. And, if you're already a member, we're asking you to renew your support.

We depend upon your contributions to fund our activities and acquisitions. Your interest can keep our programs lively and relevant. Your contributions are tax-deductible, and your membership entitles you to a 20% discount on purchases at Womrath’s Book Store in Tenafly (once you’ve become a Friend, Womrath discount cards are available at the library circulation desk). We have several membership levels:

Individual $20
Family $40
Supporter $100
Sponsor $250

We look forward to welcoming you as a Friend of the Haworth Library today!
