Library Card

The Haworth Municipal Library issues residents free library cards. Applicants for library cards must fill out a registration card with their names, address and phone number and must show proof of residency.

A child enrolled in Kindergarten may obtain a library card, but is encouraged to wait until the Kindergarten classes from the elementary school visit in October. Kindergarten students at non-public schools may obtain library cards when requested. Babysitters/au pairs must use their employers' card.

Patrons who work in Haworth, but do not live in town may request a card, This card must stay in the library and cannot be used at any other Bergen County Library.

If a card is lost, there will be a $5 fee to cover the cost of a new card and barcode.

Library cards are renewed every three years.

You can apply for a library card online by following the link below, filling in the form, and clicking on the "SUBMIT" button.
